About the Group |
The BSA Violence Against Women Study Group started in 1985 and has now grown to over 100 members. Our focus is on sharing ideas, identifying potential collaborations, and publicising the work undertaken by study group members.
We recognise that the study of violence against women can be difficult, and at times divisive. The group is therefore meant as a supportive, inclusive and encouraging environment where discussion can occur in a safe, feminist space. This can be especially important for postgraduate or early career researchers, and one of the study group's priorities is to engage those at the start of their academic careers. |
